Ticket: 351266

My rig will be used mostly for gaming and watching movies.  Gaming resolution will be at 1920x1200.  Any feedback at all would be appreciated!

1.  Is there any noticeable difference between the X58 3X and X58 Classified 3X?

2.  Will the Killer Xeno Pro make a difference compared to a standard network port?

3.  Do I have the correct LC configured for this rig?

4.  Is LC needed for my video cards if I don't plan on OCing them?

5.  How useful are the chassis fan upgrades if I already have LC?  I chose it for aesthetic reasons only.

1. classified has more pci slots, it can do tri sli and 2 more pci cards, the 3x sli can only do tri sli.

2. xeno is a waste of money.

3. yes

4. LC is for better temps, but there are not needed.

5. the led fans are loud, so I recommend against them if you have LC on gpus.

this is better:

Hey DST4ME thanks for the feedback!  I do have a couple of questions.

1.  In your Nvidia config you recommended 2x GTX 275 896MB instead of the 1792MB I had originally.  What would be the reason for that?

2.  In the ATI config I noticed that you recommended a dual loop frostbite instead of the standard one.  In the Nvidia one, the standard frostbite was sufficient.  Why is that?

3.  Does the UV chassis lighting produce a nicer effect with H20 stage 3?  You recommended that one too.

My pleasure

1. the reason is that the 1792MB will cost more but it will not give more performance, if the performance is not noticeable then its not worth it.

2. crap, I missed that , the nvidia should also be dual loop.

3. if you are picking the uv liquid then you need to pick the uv lighting, otherwise your uv liquid won't glow.
