Definitely a number of things worth changing. But first, the important basics:
What is your budget and what is your monitor's resolution? Also what are you going to be using this rig for, mostly gaming? |

Plan on using for gaming, adobe photo work, Office 2010...music is always playing...use it for movies when the kids are using the main TV...looking for a monitor, too...the samsung p2570 was looking good.

Okay, well what is your budget minus the monitor costs?

I was looking at 2500 total budget, inclusive of monitor...but, may be a bit over.

Alright, well that's easy enough. Here's the standard $2000 base build.
This build is more optimized for gaming, if you're not a heavy gamer, you could get a less powerful graphics card, which would be significantly cheaper. I'm assuming your new monitor will be 1920x___ Some things you might consider adding would be more SSD space, a bluray player, or a sound card. If you have any questions feel free to ask, and check out the guide at the top of this forum, a lot of useful info is there. Edited by Ch3ssplay3r - 22 Aug 2010 at 3:49pm |
