Hello everyone,

I have been looking at digital storm computers and I am very close to buying the bolt ii. The only thing that is holding me back now is the the availability of the g sync monitor and the 6gb version of the Nvidia 780Ti.

It seems like the release date of the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q has been pushed back to the middle/end of Q2 but I don't mind using my old monitor until the new one comes out...

However.. my main concern is that it seems that 3gb of VRAM isn't enough to support 1440p gaming....

Does anyone know when will the 6gb of the 780ti will come out? That is basically the only thing that i am waiting on before i order the system.

The 780ti 6Gb will ship once the GTX Titan inventory clears out.

Over on Overclock.net, EVGA-JacobF has announced that the 780ti 6Gb will ship in May/June.

Gotcha.

My next question is since the space is so limited in a bolt II, will it have enough space to handle a dual card video card such as the 790?

Wasn't the 790 gtx supposed to be out around march?

Parts of me says to just get the computer now and just buy the video card to replace it in a few months, the put the old card in my wife's computer.

Ahhhh! So many choices!

Once we get the Titan Z, we'll definitely check to see if it fits. From images it seems that it is going to be either a 2.5-3 slot card. If so, then it will not fit.

If the 790 stays double wide, and I think it will, then it just might fit.   Drooling

another silly question... when i placed the order, one of the options for upgrading was free labor. My question is.. am i supposed to send my computer in for an upgrade?

does me switching out the video card in the future void my warranty?

No it won't void your warranty heres what it says: Digital Storm gives the customer the freedom to upgrade his or her computer system. If you would like Digital Storm to upgrade your system for you, you will be responsible for shipping costs back and forth and a small labor fee. However, if the customer begins to experience issues after the upgrade the customer must remove the suspected hardware in order to obtain warranty service and support.

If by chance you do send it in to get upgrades i believe since you got the free labor upgrade that you probably won't have to pay the labor fee
