Downgraded also.

I may consider reinstalling FF3 when the add-ons catch up.  Oh, and the "awesome bar" ..... suckx.

I took part in the beta, and had enough of the crashing while streaming video, and random stability issues. I used FF for a couple of years and liked it well enough, but IE7 is fine, and I don't have compatibility issues with any websites, which is sadly not the case with FF.

I've been using FF3 for a few days now, and really it seems just like FF2 for me, with some minor tweaks (awesome bar, bookmarks).  I do like the part of the "Awesome Bar" where it turns green if you're on a non-phishing bank site, for example.  The two add-ons that didn't work were Google Browser Sync (discontinued by Google, so I switched to Foxmarks) and TabMix Plus (there's a non-official version that works).  Otherwise, no problems.

I decided to give FF3 another try after doing a little research.  I have all of my extensions working - some official releases....some hacked into FF3 from previous versions.  I have also found how to completely disable the awesome bar.

The bookmarks menu is annoying and menu editor won't hide the fluff they've added to that menu, but that's a minor complaint.

I used to use IE for most of my browsing in the past, but IE is a slower browser than FF.  FF just loads quicker.  I have to use IE7, however, for the company intranet, so I do use both.  Some sites require IE7 to get all the info.

That's what the IE Tab extension in Firefox is for!  It does, however, have limitations when it comes to spawning new tabs.
