OS/apps on the SSD, games/movies/music/media on the HDD.

The EVGA x58 Micro is a great motherboard but to keep the cost down it does not have many PCIe slots. It has two full PCIe x16 slots, a PCIe x1 slot, and a legacy PCI slot. If you have a dual slot video card in either of the x16 slots one of the other smaller slots will be blocked (either the x1 or legacy PCI), leaving you with just two remaining slots, the full x16 slot and remaining x1 or legacy slot, for any add on cards you may want to use in the future. If you used two dual slot video cards in both the full x16 slots both the x1 and legacy slots would be blocked and you'd be out of slots at this point, but you don't really have a power supply capable of supporting two big video cards anyway so this might not ever come up.

So if you're fine with that many slots the Micro is great, if not and you feel you want more then select the EVGA x58 LE for +$29, which is basically the same thing as the Micro but with more PCIe slots.

If this is too far over your budget just drop the SSD from the build. They're wonderful for boot times, instant application loads, and multitasking, but are ultimately unnecessary for a budget gaming rig.
