Hi all,

Just had to announce this as im quite happy with myself!

Today i managed to overclock my Q6600 to 3Ghz Clap

Im just using stock cooling (which will be changed as soon as i can afford to) and 4gb of OCZ XTC 667mhz ram. so now its running at 1:1

i had tried a few times to overclock my system but it would never go past 2.9ghz but found that the mobo was pushing the ram too hard and caused major stability problems, i still need to tweak the timings as running at 5,5,5,15 but its a start.

Im happy anyway, gives me more time to save up for my 8800 GTS

So hooray for me lol

Before you mock someone, walk a mile in their shoes, then at least your a mile away and have their shoes as well :)

Nice. I find stability issues at 1333, but very smooth operation at 1300, 1320, and 1380 with a 9x multi.  If your RAM can take it, you could try 1380. I think I was able to get a stable OC at about 1.325 Vcore, running linked. That would take you to 3.1 GHz.
