price range is 2000/3000 would like to include a 22-24 inch monitor. dont want to do liquid cooling to expensive which high performance fan do you recommend thats quiet. i think i seen that a 22-24 inch monitor requires 2 video cards? Can any 1 help me out with a configuration

I don't really think he needs that 1000PSU powerplant. Corsair 650w is enough to sufficiently power GTX 275 sli + i7. If anything, he should get a Corsair 750 PSU on the safe side.

the 1000w PSU is to cover future Tri sli, a 650w on 275 is pushing the PSU, the 750w leaves no room for upgrades.

Not sure where OP stands on this, but seeing how fast Nvidia and Intel tech move, OP would be better off purchasing an entire new system by the time he wishes to go Tri-Sli. And uh, 650w is a pretty sufficient as long it's a good brand like Corsair. |

DS won't install sli 275 on a 650w PSU. and I will disagree on 650w being efficent for sli 275.

Before I moved to Hawaii last month, I built my friend a computer involving 275 SLi with a corsair brand 650w. And he seems to be getting pretty well with it. But hey, in all, it's OP's choice. |

ya thats last month, you gonna by your friend a new PSU when that one burns out from being pushed to hard?
just becasue its running now, its doent not mean it won't die in year or less maybe even, not to mention it could start giving him problems. |

If it fails, I'll pay both shipping and an entire new PSU for him. But I'm telling you, 650w is plenty for the SLi GTX 275. If it isn't, it would be burnt out by now from my friend drinking mountain dew and playing Far Cry 2 multiplayer maxed out for hours end. Unless he's OC'ing, not blowing dusts off his parts, and etc. I have no idea why his 650w would blow off if it runs for years. It doesn't work that way. No offense, I have noting against you, but have you ever built a computer yourself? |

I have been building PC for a long time, and the system I configured is OCed.

650 watt would be ok, depending on the chip, OC'd i7 no, 65 watt chip, no OC a good quality 650 would make it. Not recomended, but would be fine, 750 would leave some room for capacitor aging.
