I took the day off from work yesterday and waited and waited and waited... til UPS showed up about 11:00am!  The box looked pretty good from the outside and the packing inside was very sturdy.  Got it out, set it up and fired it up... no problems.  Went about transferring all my settings, software etc over from my old PC... which actually took a few hours.   Only problem I had in the end was the onboard ethernet wouldn't automatically detect my IP address.  Called the Cable Company, they tried a few things and eventually thought it was a bad onboard ethernet... so I called DSO next.  Talked with Duke for awhile and after trying several things he eventually had to have me manually set the IP address.  Everything was fine after that.

I didnt' get a benchmark crushing powerhouse machine, no overclocks, no SLI... it's a pretty simple build but it looks great and it's performed great so far.

After waiting since 12/4/07, I got pretty frustrated with DS and was almost ready to cancel the order.  But it's finally here and I'm very happy with it...hopefully it continues to perform flawlessly!Clap

Glad you decided to stick with the system. Thank you for waiting!

We try every possible resolution to resolve technical issues for our customers. Duke didn't just declare that you had an issue with the cable company and not our system and brushed you off every time, he went to the extent of manually setting your IP which the cable company should have had you try. It feels great to know we are able to resolve customer issues instead of giving them a loop around.

I wonder how much money DSO is costing the United States by people taking off work to get their systems, anyone see a trend?

We should get a report on this :D

Good one Solo!

Grats on your new system, Cougar.

Believe me, I know the waits are long, mine was over 30 days due to parts failures.  But, she has performed flawlessly every since I got it and I am very happy aswell.

Great to hear.

I have had a few problems with modem a few times from Time Warner.  Everytime the internet goes out and that only happens about 2-3 times a year.  They tell me to unplug it and wait for about 3 minutes for it to reboot.  But I have found out I need to let it wait at least 30 minutes for it to reboot.
