Nope, they do not offer any type of financing that I have ever heard of.  Someday maybe, but not now.

Just make sure you do your homework from where ever you buy.  The customer service after the sale is most important.  Thats why I went with DSO... Good luck to you.

I'm sure the rigs they sell over the rigs they don't sell to consumers that decide to buy somewhere else because they don't finance are well above accepted sales margins to keep their doors open.  I would bet a dollar that the majority of potential customers that come here and find out that DS does not finance, yet make the choice to go ahead and find a way to purchase regardless of that fact, outweigh those like yourself that make the choice to buy from another vendor.

In the end, I would bet the loss ratio is low.

What you read on these forums is not necessarily indicative of the big picture at DS.  Those that participate on these forums only read and know what this small percentage of people are doing, and how that makes up a certain perspective of what the DS business looks like.  None of us here on these forums, other than DS employees, know what their actuarial data states and how many satisfied vs. unsatisfied customers they have moving through their customer satisfaction data.

I think we can get a general perspective though on how that looks from the way they handle business on these forums in front of everyone.  Whether DS finances or not is not going to be a pronounced determiner of how much business they will miss out on over the years.  Will they miss business, not lose, because of that... yes.  I say "miss" because you cannot lose business if you never had it in the first place.  You only miss opportunities to have business.

I think you should find a way to do business with DS simply because you will most likely miss out on the opportunity too do business with a very reputable company.  Could you experience issues with DS?  Sure, but that's the chance you take with any vendor.  Those odds are the common factor in the "doing business" part of doing business with someone out there.  It's a risk you take that is equal to any path you eventually take to get your purchasing needs met.

The difference that really does set apart this company from others out there is their willingness to do the right thing; their "desire" to see the customer whole and perform above and beyond the rest.  To me, this is worth finding a way to do business with them beyond their lack of financing resources.

Everyone is different and has different economic roadblocks.  However, just hanging out on these forums can change one's mind about the "why and "how" to do business here.  I spent a month just lurking before I purchased from these guys, and what convinced me was the way they handled people here on these forums.

Good luck in your endeavor.

I agree the customer service is important. Im torn between a mac pro and ds rig anyway and if i have to go through lenghts to afford a 5k$ DS rug I will be ok with going to apples good customer service and just do financing there. it wa snot meant as devaluing ds. just a major inconvenience.
