Hi all. Just checking in after setting up my new system. I have to say, this has been thye most fun I have had in quite a while. The setup went very smoothly. DS techs did an absolutely professional job in assembling and testing, and it shows. World of Warcraft is humming. IE is almost instantaneous. Sound sysytem rocks. Live stock ticker and charts are fast. I could not be more pleased.
I have some finishing touches now that I am up and running.
I am going to give ESET a try for my security software. Which is preferred? Smart Security or NOD32? Will there be a conflict with Windows Firewall or Defender? I have heard that competing security software cause instability. Do I run them all?
What UPS is recommended?
How do I run hardware tests to see temperatures and performance under load?
My friend told me he likes PC Pitstop for testing and optimizing. I ran the free test today and although it rated my rig top 11%, it said I had fragmentation, and needed three driver updates. Should I trust this site? My computer is working so well I hate to mess with it, but defragging is a common maintenance procedure I believe. I have only owned Mac prioir to this, and OSX does not require "defrag" so I am wondering how (and how often) to test for this condition. What else do I need to do to maintain my system?
I have more questions but I forgot them ... LOL.
Thanks for the help. Did I say that

ok lets see.
first drop IE and instead use firefox or opera you can find them both at Kool Lite Tools second disable windows firewall and defender and instead use eset smart security, smart security has both anti virus (nod32) / firewall and anti spyware, nod32 is only anti virus. to see temps use HWMonitor also get GPUz will tell you info about your gpu and CPUz CPU-z will tell you info about your cpu and system if you don't have it yet get CCleaner to clean temps files and etc. if you have a ssd don't defrag, its bad to defrag a ssd. forget pc stop, and you only need to defrag once every 6 month or so (if you don't have a ssd) |

Thanx for the guidance.
Downloaded all but GPUz. When I clicked on the download link I got a "File Not Found" error. I'll try again later.
I really appreciate DS delivering a VERY CLEAN machine. And I appreciate the advice given here on how to keep it that way.

Should I UNINSTALL or DISABLE IE, WINDOWS FIREWALL and DEFENDER? Either way, uninstall Or disable, I do not know the correct way to cleanly do it. Please advise when you can. Thx again and again.
