Hey, I was wondering whic programs do you guys recommend to run on the first boot up (when I get the machine), in order to test its stability & power (besides the actual games of course). I ordered about 2 days ago, and the estimated arrival date, i hope will be next Friday.

you can run all of those tests but honestly just play your games for a few hours and see what your temps are and how stable it was while you were playing.

3dmark vantage, prime95, intelburn, etc., are all great tests but to be honest they are going to tax your system harder then you probably ever will, so your PC could fail one of those but still be rock-solid for your use.

first thing I would check is to see if it can handle my usage, games/apps what ever you use your PC for, and what the temps are during my usage.

but to answer your question, HM has done a great job of answering it, I would say run intelburn cause its much faster and taxes your CPU harder then prime 95 IMO.

lol try it, if you want to see how high your CPU temps can go, intelburn will make a quick work out of it and save time.

I do want to state that IntelBurn is a cool utility, but, on some systems, we have seen it fairly for no reason immediately. It has some compatibility issues with some newer hardware.

If your system is MemTest, Prime95, Vantage stable, and obviously if you have no issues playing games and using the machine, don't take the IntelBurn result to heart if it fails.

Warm Regards,
Alex

I will second what Alex said, I like to use intelburn just to see how high my temps go, otherwise if you fail it, don't worry about it, as Alex said if you playing your games and all is good then you are good to go.
