Looks like you know just how to build what you want. Wouldn't hurt to bump up to the H115i PRO cooler just for the extra, but it's not totally necessary, if you have a reason for the smaller radiator. Otherwise, good job!

I agree with Cretae on the larger Corsair cooler suggestion...
You are missing an opportunity to Overclock that excellent K Class processor free for Stage 1 or just $99 for Stage 2. Intel makes the K and X class processors to be fully Overclocked, and DS has a decade of experience to safely Overclock the CPU. Get all the performance you are actually paying for from the I9-9900K... You will have sufficient cooling if you use the larger Corsair H115i Pro 280 mm cooler. Photo editing is CPU intensive and RAM centric work....it will help overall performance. Everything else looks like strong build choices. Well done. You came to the right place to get a great DS build and you won't regret it! I've ordered 4 DS rigs since 2011...all going strong. Edited by HockeyBuck - 17 Sep 2019 at 12:39am |

I really don't know too much about "overclocking" I talked to a Sales Manager and he suggested not to overclock. I told him this is a work computer... and i was looking for more of a "Stable Computer." but I will ask again. when you "OverClock".... am i getting full performance all the time or only when my design programs demand performance?(im confused on this whole over clocking) i'm going to have to do a little research and ask some more questions. again big thanks for you time and input! Glad you found it helpful sir!
Doesn’t really matter if the rig is for work or not... You are buying a K class processor that was designed by Intel to be Overclocked to reach peak performance. When you do not Overclock that processor, you are leaving a lot of performance untapped. I hate seeing that extra CPU. potential go to waste! Yes, if you let DS Overclock your CPU...you simply get the maximum Intel engineered CPU performance all of the time. As long as sufficient cooling is present, it’s perfectly safe. DS knows Overclocking and your new rig will be thoroughly stress tested at full load to make certain it runs perfectly before it ships to you. |

Well done Funnel-Designs! Your editing work should be a LOT more enjoyable now using this well equipped build, and (wink) after the work is all done...you will have to try some gaming on this rig to see how well this rig can fly!
Now for the hardest part....the wait...lol. It will be worth it! Hopefully DS will install your 32 GB RAM as a 2 X 16 GB kit.... That would leave 2 open RAM slots for you to easily just add more RAM if you find the need for your professional editing work in future. |

Normally battery powered wireless devices like mouse or keyboard use a small plug in USB dongle that handles comms between pc and the peripheral device. You should know that in gaming, reaction speed being considered kind of crucial, wired is always going to be faster and more dependable than wireless.

I've gone down the "wireless" route only to find that chasing batteries, etc, was just not worth the time to me. So, I'm wired with one exception.... My XBone controller. I tend to grab that with both hands and, as "she who must be obeyed" has noticed and brought to my attention rather vocally, swing my hands and arms all around like the position of the controller matters.
But the mouse and keyboard can sit in one spot and wired/wireless is really not a concern. |

Lol...now you have all the RAM you will ever need in that cool white Velox ! Glad it’s on the way...
Your MSI motherboard can handle two M.2 NVME SSD ....these plug into ports right on the board. About half the size of a pocket comb, they lay flat & plug in on one end and one screw holds down the other end. (so you can add one additional m.2 NVME SSD...) That mobo has six total SATA III open ports for hard drives or SATA III SSD. Your Velox case places those flat on the back side of the case. Your DS Velox case info says there is room back there for :...all 6 to be normal size 2.5” SATA III SSD, or for a combination of 2x SATA III SSD and a max of 3x traditional 3.5” SATA III Hard drives. About X-Box controllers...I don’t do console gaming, but my forum pal Snaike above mentioned his is a wireless X-Box controller so I think yes you can...lol. Monitors....For graphic design you will need IPS type monitors for best accurate color quality and best coverage of the Adobe color spectrum. For gaming you should pick a NVidia G-Sync tested and approved IPS monitor from NVidia’s approved list on heir website. Dell, Asus and maybe LG can be good for both your pro and gaming needs. See the linked list below....sort list by IPS. The 27” Asus PG279Q IPS 2560 x 1440P 160 Hz G-Sync panel is well regarded here, and the 34” Dell Alienware AW3418DW IPS 3440 x 1440P 120 Hz G-Sync curvy panel is also a top choice. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/g-sync-monitors/specs/ Edited by HockeyBuck - 09 Nov 2019 at 11:14pm |

Absolutely. Wireless controllers come with a USB adapter. Simply plug it in and sync the controller with the adapter and you're golden. I can't imagine playing Rocket League or Wreckfest on a keyboard... Good luck!! |

The Asus Swift-PG27UQ. 27” IPS G-SYNC 4K would be the best choice with G-Sync hardware on board and the best overall choice for color gamut If you don’t require 4K, the Asus PG279Q 27” IPS 2K/1440P G-Sync is an excellent choice as well. |

Yup....A very well regarded IPS quality G-Sync 1440P panel with users here on the forum. Avoid the newer Asus (2019) PG279 QZ model...it uses edge backlighting leds....the original Q model has better local dimming led backlighting.

I can't find where you are seeing that monitor for $499. It's a $700 monitor that began life at $800 that rarely dips by much. Be sure of your seller, and jump on it at this price. It's an excellent monitor.
