I'm in the market for a new gaming machine, and have decided to go with Digital Storm. I have about $2000 to spend, and need everything but a mouse.
I really only play WoW and D3 right now, but I'd like to try some of the modern FPS games, and don't want to have to settle for medium settings to run at a decent framerate. Since this is my very first real gaming system, I though I'd come to you guys for advice. Here's the build text: Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Pre-built Digital Storm ODE V2 - Level 2 Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 3770K 3.50 GHz (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) (Requires Z77 Motherboard) Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX (Intel Z77 Chipset) System Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance Series (High-Performance) Power Supply: 800W Corsair GS (Dual SLI Compatible) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (1TB Western Digital/Seagate/Hitachi/Samsung (7200 RPM) (32MB Cache) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 2GB (Includes PhysX) Add-on Card: - No Thanks Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Digital Storm Vortex 120mm Radiator Liquid CPU Cooler (High-Performance Edition) H20 Tube Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a FrostChill or Sub-Zero LCS Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (Red) Enhancements: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows 7 CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: Asus 24 inch VE248 Series (Widescreen) (Black) (2ms Response Time) (LED Backlight) Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: Logitech 2.1 System (Model LS21) (Includes Subwoofer) Keyboard: Razer Arctosa Gaming Keyboard (USB) Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: FREE: Digital Storm T-Shirt - Black (Large) Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 10-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty |

Hi bgoose99... Welcome to the forums. The ODE line of DS rigs are a best bang for the buck selection. The ODE 2 is right in your budget and the gtx 670 on a 24" monitor will play great.
The ODE 1 for $1499 will give you the same gaming for less but the ODE 2 does have a better power supply with longer warranty and the 3770k chip for a bit faster everyday tasks. The 3570k chip in the ODE 1 for gaming is the same performance, however. I do like the A50 air cooler in the ODE 1 for relaibility and maybe a bit quieter but the Vortex 120 in ODE 2 has a good reputation. Hope this helps and good luck.
