Hey all! I've been a long time lurker, first time poster lol. After months of research and budget number crunching (and waiting for the Kepler GPUs lol) I found a company that I would be proud to do business with. I've looked at all the boutique builders that I could find for a reasonable and powerful build and Digital Storm by far stood out from the crowd from reviews, components, and build quailty. DS also has the most active and knowledgable community I've seen, another plus.
Okay, without further adieu, the goods:

1. Budget: $2000-$2500

 2. Expectations: Play modern games and have a little breathing room for future gaming. Looking to play Witcher 2, Diablo 3, Battlefield 3, Starcraft 2, SWtoR and Mass Effect 3 in particular as close to ultra settings as possible at at least 40fps. Currently playing on a 1920 X 1080p monitor but may upgrade to a slightly higher res monitor in the future.

3. Usage: 90% gaming. 10% internet

4. Special Needs: Overclocks. I'm looking for a stable 24/7 setting on a 2600k that will provide a nice speed boost without heavily effecting the lifespan of the CPU.

I've been a console gamer all of my life, but am looking to jump into the PC realm with this build, reasons for choices following:

Choice Reasons:

Case: I know the HAF X comes very recommended, but I prefer the look of the 600T (mostly due to the attractive ODE line). Will this case be fine with the above settup?
GPU: GTX 680. wanted maximum performance from a single gpu card. low power draw is nice too.
Corsair H100: purely asthetics. From what I've read it preforms very close to the Noctua. I like the smaller foot print though. Is there anything else I should know about this unit?
PSU: Just in case I want to SLI in the future :)
Overclock: This is probably the issue that I'm most concerned about. I chose stage 2 as Sandy Bridge CPUs supposedly run relatively cool. I would be willing to downgrade to stage 1 if it would be a safer 24/7 overclock, and less taxing on the H100.
HDD: I did not go with an SSD as to remain in budget nor will I be running much of anything besides games.
MOBO: Asus Sabertooth boards have been review well, as does this board (so far). Offers SLI option. Cheaper than the other 3 top line boards.

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated, and I look forward to joining the DS community Big%20Smile

Hi Cypher 6......Welcome to the forums.

That build nailed it.Big%20Smile

Not much to say.  The 600T case will do it no problem....The H100 cooler will handle the i7-2600k at stage 2 oc no problem.  Just tell DS in Special Instructions to keep vcore at 1.4 or lower.  Maxperformance without affecting longevity of the cpu.   I'm not 100% sure the Sabertooth will stage 2 oc, but even at stage 1 you'll get great performance.

The 600T case is the Graphite colored model and not the white, and doesn't come with windowed side panel as in the 600T white in ODE lineup.  Another forum member did say it can be substituded for a little extra.  Not sure.

If you do go to a higher resolution monitor with this build you could easily add another gpu.

Good Luck and keep us updated. Big%20Smile
