First Impressions Review

I ordered (2) of these configs. One made it unscathed and the other was a victim of FedEx's wonderful handling...yep.. it was damaged when on arrival. DS is handling that process as I type this.

The care in packaging was very easy to recognize. Fedex had to try to destroy it...which they did on the one build.  Removed the packaging and the documentation along with additional parts that were very well put together. The chassis and glass were spotless and had that new car showroom look to it.Taking the glass side off to remove the packaging around the video card was easy and uneventful. The documentation was easy enough to read and plugging it in was super simple with a tutorial for folks who might be getting their first pc. After hooking everything up, turned it on and it booted right into a Digital Storm themed background inside of Windows. Drivers and bios was up to date and it was ready to start computing right out of the gate. I did have to remove the video card before cabling it up to remove the 970 M.2 in the second slot and replace it with another 980 Pro 2Tb drive. I also installed an additional 980 Pro 2Tb in the 3rd and final onboard M.2 slot. After I buttoned it back up, it booted and I was off to the races. The Ryzen Threadripper Pro is stupidly fast.  I will use this thing for 3-4 years, daily. I give it a 10 out of 10.
