I'll be receiving my new system soon. Stage 1 oc on a 2600k in a haf x with extra 200mm top fan and a Noctua D-14 cpu cooler. It'll have dual GTX 570's so it'll probably build up a little heat in-game.
My basic question is this: For general everyday use is there anything I should look out for or be concerned about? I typically start-up the computer every morning and leave it running while I'm at work (just a few hours). I'm assuming the cpu or gpu's don't really heat up unless they're under load... I've owned computers since '94 (and even built a few from scratch), but this is my first venture into oc land. Any general advice will be appreciated. :) Thanks! |

In my experience, if the OC is stable, and isn't crazy extreme (think LN2), then it is exactly like any other computer. Its fine to leave running like you normally would, etc. For general info, just check your voltages and temperatures, and if those are good under load, then your spiffy

Just like you should do with any system, just control your room temps. Your system will run as cool as the environment it's in. If I keep my rig on but don't have either my door and/or window open the system will heat the room up. The higher room temp in turn makes the temp of your system go up.
That's even more important while gaming. Your system will pump out even more heat and you need to manage it. |

Thanks for the info. Does the system itself come with software to monitor voltage/temp or is it something I'll need to download?
