I have a full list of monitors in the Hardware Discussions thread, both true Gsync and FreeSync (Gsync Compatible). You can go fairly all out at the 3500 price range but at the same time a Vanquish 7 Ultimate would suit your needs for 1440p gaming perfectly.

Is it worth upgrading from the default case fans? Are they rgb fans?
The monitor I’m looking to buy is Alienware - AW3418DW 34.14" IPS LED UltraWide HD G-SYNC Monitor - Epic silver. Does anyone have any experience with this monitor? |

I can tell you ultra wide has a lot of issues with game support and application support. As for the fans I have no clue on the lumos. I know the vanquish they are just blue....

The Corsair LL Series fans perform very well and look incredible on the Lumos. The Corsair ML Series fans ( magnetic levitation bearings) are top of the line and would likely last the longest. Suggest you look at them both on the Corsair website to see the differences. Believe the stock fans are RGB, but limited...look different than the LL or ML.
