Budget around $2500 just for the tower... $2000 would be better...
Use mostly for web surfing, text based sports sims, strategy games, MS Office, photo & video editing and storage... Would like it to be able to run some of the newer games at a fairly high resolution...Would like to be able to upgrade it in the future... Looking to get a new Dell UltraSharp U2711 27” Monitor to go with it... Not really sold on the SSD... Have read of some of the failures with these drives and I am unsure if I want to get one at this time... Want to be able to have a backup the main HD and backup the secondary HD as quickly and easy as possible... Would like it to be as quiet as possible... Do dust filters hinder the cooling and do they really help on keeping dust out? Thanks in advance for any suggestions... SSD is a pretty important part of having a balanced system, balanced system means a system that has the least amount of bottleneck and one that gives you the most out of your components.
all ssds are not the same so you can't say since these are full of troubles, those ssd will be the same. intel 320 has a great track record and is the new gen of x25 which also has/had a great track record, its also the only ssd to have a 5 year warranty. 95% of noise comes from your gpus's fans when under load. filter only hurt airflow if you don't clean them and let them get clogged up by dust and etc. |

Didn't really say that SSD's are full of troubles, just said that I had read of failures in the SSD's and was unsure of purchasing one at this time... That's why I posted my questions here to get suggestions on my build... I appreciate your response and would welcome further suggestions regarding my build?
Anyone know what the failure rate of the intel 320 is? |

most people have the intel 320 here with no problems, not sure what the exact rate is but its very low, the 320 is the only ssd that has a 5 year warranty, intel did that because of 320's reliability.
your build looks good but you are missing the ssd performance for os/apps/games. |
