It looks solid. Make sure your operating system is 64 bit if you want 4GB of RAM installed.

I personally feel there are better programs than McAfee for security. SkyR turned me on to ESET Security Suite and I have been very pleased. I have used both Symantec and McAfee in the past, and will say ESET has both beat soundly.

looks good to me, i think the only thing id change is go to a single 500gb HD
that and make that other optical a lightscribe too, reason being that the newer SATA cable is more flexible and air-cooling efficient. it would be a couple bucks well spent
as far as the acer, i believe that you can find some very nice monitors for that price and you get to be more picky if you shop on your own. But since we dont get a link to the exact monitor its hard to say...

I am in the same boat as ender on this one, Acer and I have never gotten along. You would be better off getting a monitor you can look at and see that you like at a local electronics outlet. Buying a monitor sight unseen is a poor choice in my book.

As far as brands, I would look at Samsung, I also have found HP and LG to be pretty good depending on the model number.

The others I have tried include Dell (yuck), ViewSonic (double yuck) and Sony, ok but pricey.

I have a Westinghouse 22" LCD and while the controls are a bit odd, the performance is good.
