First time build with budget

I don't know much about computers, only enough. I'm looking for a good quiet gaming computer for mmorpgs and fps but also for soem video editing. I'm on a tight budget of $1200. Can I get some ideas about this build?

Change to XMS ram and get a 8800GT or HD3850.
The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.

1. Cut out the stage 2 cooling and pick up the fan from newegg for $27.83 which includes the shipping and spend 5 minutes installing the fan yourself (super easy, I can walk you through it).

2. Like SkyR said, go with 2 gigs of corair XMS ram and the 8800GT.
