Monitor recommendations would be appreciated as well, I haven't really started research on that aspect.

Thanks for your time.

The vanquish level 3 and 4 both have, in my opinion, better specs than this build, with a Gtx 970 and 980 respectively and nearly identical parts in every other slot.

Hi Jesse... as was said, the Vanquish lvl 3&4 have much stronger graphics cards.    The vram, video ram, in the gtx 970 or 980 will help with modeling I believe if you use it. Rendering not so much.   You would know better than us what you need. Same vram amount but the 970/980 have wider bandwidth to use it effectively.

If you go to the Vanquish config and look at Benchmark section, it shows the gtx 970 about 40% stronger than 960 in the Slade build.   The gtx 980 is about another 15% stronger.

The Slade is a nice build, the case a quality and quiet one, so really up to you.

Good luck.

Thank you so much for your input. I'm going to get the Slade Pro but change the graphics card to the GTX 970. Puts me $300 over budget but I won't have to upgrade for a long time.

Thanks again.

I would have bought the Vanquish lvl 4 for $1600. Better graphics card and better SSD.

I have an early version of the Vanquish 3 lvl 4 and it works flawlessly.
You mention adding a 970 card to your build for an extra $300. For an extra $330 I upgraded to another GTX 970 card and will run SLI. Thats a killer deal.
