Big%20smileSo my sisters dell laptop is f**ked and needs reformatting. I have a copy of my dell os and drivers from a previous desktop comp and also have the os that came with my ds pc any thoughts on if either of these will work?

dell OS will work but the drivers for the laptop are completely different then your desktop, but you can go to each manufacturer site and download the proper drivers, actually I think if you just go to dell's site and choose the OS and the laptop model they will give you drivers for all the parts.

Ya you can get all of the drivers from the dell website. I have to do this quite often for the computers at my school. They seem to think im one of the tech's....im gonna start charging money.

well I got it up and running but it need a memory upgrade bad only has half a gig. is it easy to upgrade memory on a laptop?  Couldn't figure out how to get xp to connect to the internet so I upgraded it to vista. Imguessing I needed to download drivers but whatever.  working on this piece of sh*t made me realize how great my ds pc really is.

or any SO DIMM 200-pin DDR2 667 will do

BTW it fits 2 sticks so you can go upto 2GB of 2 x 1GB

30$ not bad I just want her sh*t running smooth so she doesnt come over begging to use my or my girls comps. She will never get a ds pc the 30 bucks for ram will take a while for her to come up
