A question for all the liquid cooling experts out there.

I am looking for opinions on a good flow meter for a project I am doing on a test bench.

What liquid flow meters have worked well for you and why?

Thank you in advance for your input.

Hey Justin, Sidewinder computers recommended www.mcmaster.com for the MNPT adaptor fittings for the flow meter.  What are your thoughts?  Do you know of a better place?

First Test:

CPU Loop

EK 400 Advanced Res > EK DCP 4.0 Pump > Flow Meter > RX480 Rad > EK Supreme HF Block

Just in under 1.5 GPM.

Second Test::

EK 400 Advanced Res > EK DCP 4.0 Pump >  RX480 Rad > Flow Meter > EK Supreme HF Block

Dropped a bit to about 1.4 GPM.

CPU Loop

EK 400 Advanced Res > EK DCP 4.0 Pump > RX480 Rad > RX360 Rad > Flow Meter > EK Supreme HF Block.  Bad picture, but the GPM's with dual radiator and single pump dropped to 1.375GPM.

Dual radiator and dual pump.  Increased flow to 1.8GPM.

EK 400 Advanced Res > EK DCP 4.0 Pump > RX480 Rad > EK DCP 4.0 Pump > RX360 Rad > Flow Meter > EK Supreme HF Block.

1.8GPM very nice. Pumps are nice and quiet, have redundancy if one fails,  what a great combo.
Adding more radiators usually has very little effect on flow, unless they are the Black Ice stuff.
Flow may improve slightly when all the air is out. lol Big%20Smile
which plate are you using on the water block?

I have only tested the stock plate so far.  The plan is to test each plate to see which one gets the best results.  Which plate have you found works the best, or did you make your own out of the blank plate..Big%20Smile?

You are right, the pumps are nice and quiet.  You recommended the pump a while ago when I asked you what pumps you were using in the drunken monkey.  Great recommendation, thanks again..Big%20Smile
