I recently upgraded my 12 year old excellent Digital Storm system with the setup shown in the sig block. Although I love the 5900 and it is a screamer when gaming with my 3180 I almost wish I would have gotten the 5950.

When I make my Fractal Zoom Movies on my YouTube channel all the cores on my 5900 are running at 100% for a Loooong time. Still better than the days it took me to even make individual high quality images of them about 40 years ago.

Here is my latest Fractal Zoom movie. I hope you enjoy it.

The Mandelbrot set is probably the most famous of all fractals. Its distinctive spiny pear shape is what many people think of when they think of fractals. It is an extremely complex and beautiful fractal, yet it is one of the simplest to calculate. Its formula, expressed in complex numbers, is simply "Z = Z * Z + C".

Yet this simple formula, applied iteratively to every pixel in the image, produces an image so complex and detailed that the length of its boundary is infinite. An image so complex that within just a few minutes of starting to zoom in on its tendrils, explorers almost invariably find themselves seeing a part of the set which no person has ever seen before.

Fractal Extreme allows the ability to do amazing deep dives on multiple fractal types. I hope you enjoy this visual journey into the depths of the Mandelbrot. The computer I used was my Digital Storm Computer which is configured as shown: Velox X/AMD 5900X/MSI X570 Pro Carbon MB/32GB DDDR 3200 DSPS/850W PS/500GB Samsung 980 Pro/1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus/Sound Blaster AE-7/EVGA FTW3 Ultra RTX 3080 10GB/Liquid CPU cooler dual fan.

Cretae,

Thanks for watching!

I got a bunch on my "Ken Wigger" YouTube channel.

I am currently only going 1,000,000 iterations deep. I can easier go up to 500,000,000 iterations or resolution deep but it may take days instead of hours to get the deep zoom videos.

I decided to make a very deep zoom video of the Mandelbrot Fractal. Normally I use 1,000,000 iterations/resolution but for this new one I used 20,000,000 iterations/resolution.

It took about 4 hours to render this deep zoom Mandelbrot Fractal video.

I hope you enjoy it!

It kept all 12 cores running 100% for hours rendering but it sure turned out nice. The computer internal temperatures were great but the room heated up so I had to leave the window open to dissipate the heat in the room.

I hope folks enjoyed the fractal movie created overnight. Winter will be the best time to do the crazy deep ones. Then I can use my computer as a space heater and not have to use the furnace.

Very nice!
And Rossini And my dude...George Gershwin.

I'm one of those who don't believe in luck only patterns.

My screen saver is SoundSpectrum which is mandelbrot set.

Thanks for watching & listening. :-)

Interesting skull motif on your system. Remind me not to irritate or upset you ever. :-)
