fred, i updated your build with a $50 price cut and a heck of a lot better GFX card, dropping the q9550, heres the specs(that matter):
Specifications:
Chassis: Antec 900 Power Supply: 750W Corsair HX (Dual SLI Compatible) (Silent Edition) Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66GHz (1333MHz FSB) (12MB Cache) Motherboard: NVIDIA 780i Core 2 Quad (Chipset: nForce 780i SLI) System Memory: 4GB DDR2 Corsair at 800MHz Dominator DHX (High-Performance) Hard Drive 1: 250GB Western Digital (16MB Cache) (7200 RPM) (SATA) Optical Drive 1: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x) Wireless Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 896MB Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Extreme Cooling: Air Cooled Stage 2 (Silent Artic Cooling Heat-sink Upgrade (Copper Heatpipes) Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) (For Enthusiasts) Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based) Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Benchmarking: - No Thanks Install/Test Game: - No Thanks LCD Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: Microsoft Multimedia Desktop 2.0 (Multimedia Keyboard + Optical Wheel Mouse) Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Warranty: 3 Year Platinum Care Extended Parts & Labor Warranty I changed the cpu for you because after some research i found that the q9550 only beats the q9450 by a hair unless your overclocking which you arent, so to save you 50 bucks and add more ram, and a better vid card, i said to myslef, WTF DO IT! lol
BTW, if you want, going with your $2250 price tag in your other post, you can upgrade RAM from 800mhz to 1066 mhz..itll cost ya $2270. The rig i posted above is $2207. Also, we could drop the ram down to xsm2 instead of dominator dhx and that will cost ya $2183. Up to you, i personally would go with the 1066 if i were you since you have the money, if ya wanna save 70 bucks, id go with the 800mhz dominator (1066 is dominator btw) Edited by shaba_levi - 25 Jul 2008 at 7:10am |
