One of my favorites is SUPER - converts just about any audio or video format to anything else.

One thing I use it for a lot is to convert movie files (avi, flv, mov, mpg, etc) to .3gp to play on my phone.
 
I use Audacity for editing sound files.

Spyware: Ad-Aware 2007 and Spybot Search and Destroy
Anti-Virus: AVG Antivirus
Other programs to increase performance: RAMBooster, CCleaner, RegClean, and Abexo Registry Cleaner.

Don't use any freeware for your security apps, when it comes to security apps go with payware, but other things freeware is great.

CPU-z

GPUz

HWMonitor

CCleaner

Hijackthis


stay away from registry cleaners if you know whats good for you.

you can use firefox for browser but I like opera, they are both good.
