Which would be better for CPU cooling. What if any maintenance is involved with PC frost chill. Also looking for build suggestions. $2500 max budget and 1680 x1050 max res but might get new monitor in the future so I will be looking at the 5870.

Main things involved with having a liquid cooled system is that you have to flush the water from the system every 3 years or so. Will then need to replace the fluid, preferably with the same fluid that was in it before. You can also clean the cooling equipment if you so desire.
Just have to keep the fans clear of dust if you go with air cooling (noctua). Supposedly you get better temps with liquid cooling, but the noctua fans are very nice. For your budget, noctua would probably be the better route. DST4ME will likely be by to fix you up sooner or later. ![]() |
