I've noticed that no one recommends it...is it not worth the $160.00.
Thanks |

FrostChill is worth it, but it has a nich. Typically, $2600 to $4000 price range. After that, TEC-Chill, before that, air cooling.

1. you dont need LC at all.
2. if you want lc go with stage 4, frostchill does not have the good components (good wb and rad). your config is not giving the best performance for your money and hailstorm does not have great airflow at all. what res you gonna be gaming at and the games you play do they utilize sli correctly? what was the price of that config you posted? for about $130 more you can have sli 570, much much better psu, a case with proper airflow, with sli in hailstorm you are not gonna have great airlfow.
at the end for around $3000 you can have sli 570 and all: Here you go Ticket# 615967 --- $2,991 (To see this build click here) Copy of Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Cooler Master 942 HAF X Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz (Unlocked CPU for Extreme Overclocking) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe (Intel P67 Chipset) (New & Improved B3 Revision Without SATA 3G Issue) System Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 1050W Corsair Pro Silver 1050HX (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (160GB Solid State (By: Intel) (Model: 320 Series) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: 1x (1TB Western Digital Caviar (7200 RPM) (64MB Cache) (Model: Black Edition) Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Video Card: 2x SLI Dual (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 2.5GB (PhysX) (EVGA 025-P3-1579-AR) Add-on Card: - No Thanks Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio Extreme Cooling: AIR: Stage 2: Corsair A70 Dual 120mm Fans High Performance Cooler H20 Tube Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a FrostChill or Sub-Zero LCS Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: - No Thanks Enhancements: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows 7 CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 5-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty this system will have better load temps cause the case has much much better airflow. now if you do this exact config with hailstorm/assassin you will be paying hundreds more for no performance gain, if anything you pay more and lose performance. You never told me the native res of your monitor, I need to know that, otherwise I'm just recommending the dark. The entire build of the pc is around the res of the monitor, if you are looking for a monitor then we need to nail that down first, otherwise we wont' know if you are wasting money on 2.5GB version of 570 or not, if you even have use for sli or not, etc. Edited by DST4ME - 11 Nov 2011 at 7:06pm |

for 1900 x 1200 if you are planing on maxing out games like bf3, my config is twice as powerful as your config in gaming and games like bf3, you won't be running bf3 in max setting with good minimum fps with a single 570/580, but sli 570 will do it. However the 2.5GB version of 570 is not needed, but the price difference is not much, if you like to save money go with 1.2GB version of 570 sli.
for 1600 x 1200 a single 570 is more then enough and the 2.5GB version is a waste. Edited by DST4ME - 11 Nov 2011 at 9:26pm |

I personally don't care for the nvidia one but its cool, it has green fans, problem is that there is no oem 200mm green led fan to add to the optional top, they come in blue or red.
you want to tell DS to add a "oem 200mm red led fan" to the optional top slot. |

yet another question :).
why the Corsair A70 Dual 120mm Fans High Performance Cooler and not the Digital Storm Vortex Liquid CPU Cooler? |

Because the a70 has better performance, a70 and noctua are king till you get to stage 4 lc.
