Hello all, this is a bit of an...interesting question, one which I realize may not be answerable at this time, (and more geared toward DS employees) but here goes.

Will the Vanquish be undergoing any changes in the near future? With DDR4 on the horizon and AMD's very interesting R9 series recently released, I really want to avoid what happened last time I bought from DS...My laptop got some big upgrades like a week after I pulled the trigger

So, I dunno if an answer is possible or forthcoming, but it would be nice to ease my paranoia aha.

Thanks all.

DDR4 memory is still a while away from being adopted on mainstream computers. No CPU currently supports it. Rest assured, there will be no MAJOR changes that would drastically change the performance of the Vanquish line.

Looks like DDR4 is a 2015 event for desktops. But I do understand your paranoia.

The paranoia is very understandable indeed.

Also, as has already been mentioned I wouldn't fret about DDR4 for a variety of reasons.
