Hello

First, my specs.
i7-920 2.66 GHz @ non overclock
EVGA X58 3xSLI Classified
Sapphire ATI HD 5870 @ non overclock
Corsair Dominator 1600MHz 2x3Gb
Corsair H50 cpu cooler idle@38*C
Corsair Obsidian 800D
Corsair HX 1000W


I play Heroes of Newerth, a strategy game if you didn't know, it is the new DOTA basically.

Anyways, I have started to get some frame rate drops recently. I have no idea why. In the start, when my pc was fresh, I never ever got lags, no matter what was on the screen, like the most possible textures available in battle didnt lag my pc.
Now I get frame rate drops eaven at almost nothing on the screen when I play.

My resolution: 1920x1080 in game. With all settings to max. AA, filtering, etc.

I play HON too, It could be be the recent patch.. Have you tried other games and do you have the same results? Perhaps you should dump your mods (hon) and either reinstall or just reinstall HON altogether.

Have you done that? What are your specs for your pc?
Did it work on your performance? Because, as you can see, my pc specs are pretty good.

you could be mistaking fps lag with network performance(high MS or ping)

I don;t have my new rig yet so i'm still using a pentium 4, 3.2ghz, 2g ram ati 4670 1g and i don't have any lag whatsoever. I have everything set on low or "off" and i'm getting around 40-50 fps
Servers have been kinda hit or miss but thats network lag, not your pc.
 
Also make sure you're not running any mods that are out of date cause that can screw it up as well.
Just try removing all your mods (if any) and then try it.

I hate it when people say it's network lag. It is actually almost sort of making me laugh, but I will not, and I will explain once again to those who aren't experienced about fps lag.

I have played cs:s professionaly several years, not anymore, and also my cs:s id will not be shared, because it is not relevant.
It is not network lag. It is lagging when more units and particles, textures and spells, effects etc. are on the screen. But as I can say. My pc is good.
Maybe my card is hot.

Btw, if you say it is fps lag, is it from the processor or the graphics card?
