You don't need 64Gb of RAM, 32 will do. Much of the extra will stand idle most of the time.
You want a 1TB Samsung 980 PRO SSD. The one you picked is only PCIe Gen 3 vs Gen 4. The 980 PRO is literally twice as fast as the 970 EVO in read speed. For only $50 more, you're practically stealing it. Downsize the RAM, and get some more fast storage, unless you have some from elsewhere. An HDD in a $7000 system is going backwards IMHO. Storage Set 2 is where you want the 970 EVO PLUS, Too bad the 2TB 970 EVO is backordered, that's the one that would be the best option. |

Thank you for your feedback. I wasn't sure if getting 64gb ram was actually worth it. I know that AMD CPUs like ram, but I did not know how much to get.

Welcome to DS. You got the hardware checked by the best! Now, as to "Must look good.", you also got them! Be advised that the cooling loop is anything but maintenance free at best. Make sure you tell DS to include a bottle of coolant. Hopefully you will not need it for some time and just for the regular refills. Enjoy. |
