Topic: Gaming PC for IRacing SimulationPosted: 25 Mar 2009 at 3:53pm |

I am in the market for a new gaming computer. I am looking to purchase this week. My gaming is almost 100% Motorsports Simulation on the IRacing network (IRacing.com). I also play some games such as Stalker and World in Conflict.
I will be using a 22 inch monitor at 1680x1050 resolution. Good FPS is a very important part of Motorsports Simulation gaming so that will be a main focus for me.
Would the EVGA x58 Classified be an advantage over the EVGA x58?
(1 x 300GB Veloci Raptor / 1 x 500 GB Western Digital 7200RPM Sata) or
just go with 1 TB Western Digital 7200RPM Sata?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. My budget is $3000.00.
Thank You
Albert

Good question.
If you have multiple NVIDIA Graphics Cards or a NVIDIA Card with dual GPU's, iRacing.com will support SLI. Follow the steps below to add a profile for iRacingSim.exe in order to take advantage of both GPU's while driving the simulator.

Well I like to know if its sli or sli profile, otherwise our recommendation might not be the best, if its supports sli then 295 is best, if its sli profile, then I'm not sure how much of a gain that is. in other-words I don't know if dual 260+ with "sli profile" is faster then single 285.

Thank you for your very quick responses. I contacted IRacing and was told that the software does utilize SLI technology. It will use your multiple GPU video cards in SLI to render more frames in detail.
As far as SLI profile they recommend using nHancer instead of the nVidia profile editor.
I hope this info helps.
Thanks
Albert
