That system with a 4090 will certainly play smoothly. However, I have some follow-up questions:
• What's the resolution of your monitor? The 4090 might be total overkill depending on your monitor size. • 64 GB is more than you need for gaming. I would recommend downgrading unless you have some non-gaming requirements that need that much memory. My current system has 32 GB, and even that might be more than I need. • What is your motivation for going with HydroLux PRO cooling? Yes, it looks very impressive, but it won't help performance. The All-in-One coolers work just as well, cost less, and have fewer issues. Right now I have a Noctua air cooler, and I like it much better than the HyrdoLux cooling in my old Aventum machine. • Also keep in mind that the Aventum X is a huge machine. It won't fit under most desks, and it's so heavy that it usually requires two people to lift. Just be sure that you're ready for a machine of that size. Don't get me wrong, if you're looking for a beautiful showcase machine that will be the center of attention in your gaming room, then the Aventum is amazing! However, it's a beast, and a little impractical for many people. Anyway, I'm not trying to talk you out of any of this. I just want to make sure you don't buy more than you need. |

I have a 360 hz 1080p alienware and a 270 hz 1440 p asus and yeah I think i prob will go with the all in one cooling as long as it gets the job done. Also I got a big desk so i’m gonna keep it on top.

JamesAstro covered the bases very well. I don't believe the 4090 is going to be the card you'll want for those monitors. You will expend a lot of power and dump considerable heat into your case for very little effect. Not to mention the waste of your money. You should definitely wait and see what the benchmarks look like before you decide on that. These cards are all going to be a major leap forward, and the 3090 itself was considered much more of an enterprise card than a gaming card.

the 4080 (16GB) is gonna come in around $1200 and the 4080 (12GB), which should really be named the 4070, will come in around $900. i'm using a 10 GB 3080 to power my 4K and 1080P monitors currently. you can def save yourself a ton of money going with a 3000 series card right now, as NVIDIA and partners are trying to clear out that inventory.

Lol...Love the Aventum...and I don't seek to talk you out of anything either, but if you are changing to an AIO cooler, then you are definitely in the wrong case. Aventum is designed as a full water cool everything max size chassis with several radiators and a zillion fans to cool them. You would be fine in the Velox or Lumos case if you are just dropping down to a simple AIO cooler for the CPU. Me, no matter what chassis, I would want that nice new CPU properly Hydrolux Pro water cooled.

Just a FYI as much as I love my new Velox system, the Beast is HEAVY!! I should have created a Tik-Tok Video of me on the floor fighting it out of the box. I thank God it arrived safely. but it was a challenge to get it out and in position. I should have got an extra hand even for the Velox to move it around easily.
I prayer I don't have to use the warranty to ever send it back. I would have to rewind in my mind how I got it out of the box! :-) |
