I saw a topic regarding "must-have" software for DS rigs, but I haven't found a topic on gaming peripheral hardware. Since I'm betting a lot of DS customers are buying for a gaming rig (mine is for gaming and some CADD on the side), I thought I'd ask: what are the favorite gaming peripherals (hardware) in the community?

F'rinstance, I'm currently running with a Logitech G15 Gamepad, Logitech G9x mouse, and Logitech G110 keyboard (yep, there's a trend there...).

I run a wireless Xbox 360 adapter/controller, a Logitech T650 wireless touchpad, a Logitech T620 touch mouse, and Logitech K360 wireless keyboard.
Besides the "G" keys, is there any reason to upgrade to the gaming series in your opinion?

Thanks for the reply. i think it primarily depend on what you play and how often. A lot of the features seem built for online FPS (which i don't play).

There are some features that i like on the gaming keyboard(s) in general, but i'm far from a competition gamer. Mine has keyboard controls for sound (multimedia) which is quicker than trying to find the app or the Windows speaker controls. The "cutout" switch for the windows/desktop keys i find helpful. The built-in headphone jack is nice in some instances, but i don't use it that much personally.

i haven't convinced myself that it's worth it for me to trade up to one with an LCD panel, but i have some friends that play online far more than i do that really like that feature.

HTH!

peripherals are going to be very dependent on what games you primarily play. i'm a MMO and RPG plyer so i have a Naga mouse. For my keyboard I have a mechanical one and will never use another type of keyboard.

I dug up my old logitech steering wheel but can't seem to find the energy to install it. That thing is real old and I am looking at a new one and if I install the old one the wife won't let me buy a new one.

teaiewold-
completely agree that the peripherals follow the games you like to play. I was just curious what was out there, especially mice/keyboard combos. I've tried several variations of Logitech "gaming" mice and tried one of the R.A.T series but never tried a Razer. I've been looking at the Roccat XTD version for my new DS machine.

retirednavysnipe-
I've never been much on PC driving games, but i have an old joystick flight controller that i used to play Mechwarrior. I didn't even plug it into my current box. I checked on the most updated drivers and they're for Windows XP (!!!) in any case.

Thanks for the responses

I use a G700 Logitech mouse and G510 keyboard. The ability to program macros is the main reason for these. Also, for MMO type games, I like being able to map highly used spells/actions to the extra mouse buttons. Makes a huge difference in games that require fast reaction times (pvp)
