Greetings,
I can't figure out what video card I need. Here's my typical applications: Lots of Photoshoping Lots of Premiere Pro Lots of After Effects Lots of Illustrator Lots of InDesign Lots of video conversion Lots of Surfing on the net Lots of playing DVD movies Lots of waveform editing of music Lots of Youtube playback Lots of word processing Lots of Excel NO gaming. NO 3D rendering What kind of video card do I need? Gaming or Workstation class? Thanks. |

Gaming cards are meant for speed, Workstation cards for precision. You should go check nVidia Quadro series, and see which model fits you best. Remember, the more you spend on a video card, the more performance you get out of it.

Thanks for the reply, Darkshark.
I checked out NVIDIA's website and it looks like workstation graphics is what I need for all the Adobe stuff I do. |

quadro is best for your type of work but I'm not too much into that stuff as far as editing media goes, so I don't know which would be best.
