19'' monitor
native res 1280x1024 best single card or combo of cards to run crysis at 50-60fps or higher , preferrably with some AA i was looking around to some bench comparisons and saw that dual 285's ran crysis extremely well on such low res i no some of these benchs arent always accurate, your thoughts plZ Edited by <8) slunK parade - 24 Jan 2009 at 4:29am |

295 would be a better deal
might wait for their new set of cards in a few monhts, that support dx10.1 and run more efficiently/cooler than 295 |

You might want to get a better monitor? 2 gtx280' will run Crysis at 1920x1200 with x8Q AA at about 50fps or x16Q AA at 30fps. Crysis would look better and have the fps you want. Just a thought.

all he wants is 50 to 60 fps guys, an oced 285 will give him 75fps, why spend more money on sli 280 or single 295?

sorry to side track the GPU topic but is windows 7 ...DX 11 gonna blind side the DX 10 card stuff like the old DX 9 compliant cards? Just wondering cause I'm looking at upgrading my PC to the DX 10 GPU cards so I can play the newer DX 10 games that I cant with my EVGA 7950GX2 1g card which I love it rocks plays everything I have loaded on full wide open throttle with out a glitch.
TIA

guys aren't only crysis and farcry dx10 and the rest are dx9?
is it that much of a big deal to upgrade for? I don't believe current cards support dx11, those will come out toward the end of 2009 |

Sorry hope im not being a pain in the rear just trying to figure out which way to step. |
