PC release March 26.
Survival apocalypse game set in 1980s Sweden. If you've seen, or are familiar with, the "Tales from the Loop" stuff from Simon Stålenhag this game will look oddly familiar to you. Robots have taken over the world and you have to survive. Can be played solo or as a multiplayer survival/shooter. Maybe I'm just suffering withdrawals from the Fallout76 debacle (while trying to find a suitable replacement) but I'm both attracted to and fearful of the genre. Any thoughts? That sounds... Interesting? I'll have to look it up. I'm somewhat in a hole, anthem is good but flaws a plenty. Metro is beautiful and handles well. I need a new mmo to play...

Hmm, I hadn't heard anything about this. It looks promising. I see Stålenhag's work pop up from time to time but I can't say I follow him too closely. I'll have to keep an eye on it. I just recently played through Horizon Zero Dawn, so I'm in a bit of a machine fighting mood.

Ok so looked into that, looks interesting for sure but a little boring maybe? Graphically phenomenal though, I ask this though, have you looked into Atomic Heart?

I had been looking at Atomic Heart but the release date keeps getting moved back. I've put that in the Vaporware file and moved on, waiting for official word.

Fair enough but it looks incredible. I just worry Generation Zero will grow stagnant fast. The enemies don't seem very diverse, is there a story line to follow or goal of some sort I wonder?

Mark it down to a "Corned Beef, Soda Bread and Irish Whiskey" hangover, but I just broke on of my personal gaming rules. I pre-ordered GZero. At least Avalanche had the good graces to NOT put it up for Early Access, then I would never buy it. I truly loathe early access.
Wish me luck. If anyone needs me as of the 26th, I will be in 1980s Sweden....... |
