Hello all, it has been quite a while since I stopped in...

I have a question, I currently have a GTX 285 that has served me well for a long time. I have yet to run into a game I cannot play at max or just below that. Now my question is, should I get a second 285 (which I can get on the cheap) or save up some money to go ahead and get a 570.

I'm currently gaming on a 22in monitor at x1050.

Any help would be appreciated.

a single gtx 570 would be the best route imo

Thanks for the reply...

So you don't think I could get away with a second 285 until the early next year?

The games I am looking to play will be Brink, Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect 3, Rage and maybe BF3.

You could add another 285. That will put you in the same performance (roughly) as one 570.

Or you can add a 570 and use your 285 for Physx and get even more performance with DX 11 eye-candy (285 only allows for DX10).

DST, good to see you still helping out around here. :)

So do you think the list of games I have there will still run very well with my current setup?

If you want DX11 than you have to upgrade, I'm not sure to be honest how it will do in some of those games.

Still on Vista 64 so no DX11...

I'm just concerned about the mega-textures on Rage and my x1050 rez. I would really like to hold out until early next year before going with a 6 series card and a Win7 upgrade.
