Im no computer whiz
Specs:
Krypton
Intel Core i7 4810MQ
NVIDIA GTX970
32 GB memory
128 Solid State drive
750GB HDD drive
Killer Wireless N 1202
Blu-Ray optical drive
Windows 7 pro

IDK what happened but I used to be able to play my games at max settings with no gaming issues.

I can not even play on minimum settings anymore, regardless of the game new or old, it will glitch constantly on high and low settings...this is unbearable. please help DS Admins and everyone else

Hi Bootystank911.....  First thing I would check are your cpu and gpu temps.   If they get too high the processors will down clock to reduce heat.  Run HWMonitor while gaming and check the core temps and the 970's gpu temp.  Should be in the 80's Centigrade or lower.

Open task manager and look for something hogging your resources, like an update, something running in the background, etc.  Another member just saw Steam re-downloading his older games and lugged down the cpu.    The Processors tab and performance tab will show cpu and ram usage.  You might be able to get into Resource Monitor and see if the chips spike. 

In Nvidia Control Panel, under Manage 3D, Global, make sure the Processor selected is high performance or something worded like that, to make sure your 970 is being used and not just the integrated gpu.
