Guys, my new computer should be shipping sometime next week. I'm getting a Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 GPU put in it. I have some questions and was hoping you could help:
- they have settings such as 2560x1600 and 1920x1200 for the GPU. Is that resolution? I understand that the bigger number is better (or more detailed) so I assume it's resolution.
- the resolution on my monitor is 1920x1080p. Would I be able to tell the difference between 2560x1600 vs 1920x1200 on this monitor?
- does DS set the settings on the GPU when they ship it or do I do it when I receive it? From what I could tell from what I read about the 570 is that 1920x1200 would probably be the best setting for games. Is that right?
Noob questions, I know. Thanks for any help you can give.

1. yes is it the resolution. the resolution is how many pixels are on a monitor. the more pixels more deatailed but more gpu power needed.
2. the monitor itself has to support 2560x1600 to be able to display it but yes you will. it will probably be a bigger monitor and more deatailed.
3. The gpu automaticly sets up depending on your monitors maximum resolution. and yes 1920x1200 is probably ideal but it all depends on what your monitor supports.

Thanks for the help. The manufacturer says set it for 1920x1080 so that's what I'll do. I guess there's a reason why they write instructions. Suppose I should make a habit of reading them.
