In preparation of my new AMD 6850 overclocking adventure, lol hope to break a record or two with it, but might be a dud also, lol. never know. Upset
 
 I thought it would be good to have a thread that people can share their GPU overclocks, and also ask questions on GPU overclocking.
 
I personally broke the 1100Mhz milestone on the Drunken Monkey tonight, getting all three GPU's into the 1100Mhz, 3dmark Vantage run, zero artifacting. 
 
 
So post up your GPU overclocks, or questions regarding overclocking the GPU'(s). maybe I should get Bender to make a guide on how to do it, software to use, hardware mods, BIOS modding ect.. hmm.
 
I think my GTX 470 has more in it also, it has been the highest overclocked GTX 470 on the stock cooler for a long time now, in the 3d mark vantage world, so I will prolly give it another go to, has to be more in it. Oops

I'm going to add another "Good Idea" to the pile for a guide on this subject. Its something I'm very interested in. Last time I messed around with GPU overclocking, well.. lets just say I had to reboot a lot of times LOL

I will get in touch with Bender, and help him out with a guide, but it may take a while, hehas to get his other life to get settled in.

this is a great idea, i talked to dso about it too, we have some other things coming out very soon and as soon as they are finished im planning to do a lot of overclock based guides/articles whatever

well, initial overclocks on my 6850,   stock clock core 775Mhz, max 3dmark Vantage stable is 1100Mhz on the core on stock cooling..so a tad over 40% overclock.   My card sucks though, does not run hot, but needs a lot of voltage to not artifact. Upset

tried out the new 3dmark bench out
all 3 5870's stayed cool, and artifact free, at 1115Mhz.. lol
Dragoonseal will appreciate the RAM speed and timings.. Confused

ATI card, no stinking shader clock. Hahaha

4.5Ghz needs 1.39V for 24/7 4.650Mhz needs a lot more. 4.9Ghz needs crazy voltage. lol good CPU for 4.5Ghz and under, crap for more than that.
