Hey everyone,

looking at a build out here. the GPU option for a GeForce RTX 3080 says PERFORMANCE EDITION. How does this differ from a FOUNDERS EDITION I've seen on other builders websites.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

I had this question as well when purchasing my pc with a 3080. I think it refers to the information you get when clicking "more info" under the gpu.

DIGITAL STORM WILL USE A TOP BRAND NAME GRAPHICS CARD FROM THE LIKES OF ASUS, EVGA, PNY, MSI, ETC...

I'm guessing though. Hopefully someone can get you a definitive answer. For reference I got a founders edition card in my build.

I got founders as well and said PERFORMANCE EDITION lol. At this point its whatever they can find.

The "Performance Edition" is supposed to be a board member card, like Asus, EVGA, etc. 3rd party card variants usually have a slightly higher clock speed and such, so I guess that's where the performance classification comes from I assume.

But at this point, I'd say they're just looking to fill orders with any card they can nab. Reference/Founders Edition or not.
