So I finally dropped my college funds on some liquid cooling.
120.4 rad, looks like I'm going 1/2 inch tubing. Fun stuff. |

Ahh! Go with 5/8th tubing!!! D:
120.4 is HUGE . . . imo. I personally like 240mm so I can usually fit it inside the case . . . :\ |

Yeah, it's going in the top panel. I really need help on what CPU block to use (particularly would like something that is both AM2 (currently have) and i7 (soon) compatible.
DST: So far I'm only cooling the CPU, but I am planning on adding the GPU to the loop eventually... a 120.4 is overkill, even for an i7 lol. |

Size of the radiator is only 1 factor. For example, use a Black Ice quad, with 750RPM fans, on a highly OC'd i7 and 2 GPU's and you will have poor temps, throw on some 7000 RPM deltas, and temps will be decent, but insanely loud. That is why it is best the have a plan, know what your goals are, then purchase. lol
A lot of the water blocks will fit different chips, just need to purchase a new mounting bracket, and back plate for the appropriate chip.

black ice works well with fans of 50cfm or higher.

Good... that's the one I got lol.
I also don't know if it would do anything major, but since I have an aluminum case, I was wonding if I could like remove the paint from part of the rad and case, and thermal paste them together... would this help at all? (I know the best way to tell if something is good at dispersing heat is if it is cold, and the case always is) |

Short answer, that would not help your temps at all. |

Meh... I'm not getting it after all. The guy who was modding my case to accept the rad changed his price from $165 to $335, AFTER I HAD PAID TO SHIP IT TO HIM. I decided that wasn't going to happen.
