i just got my tax return and ready for ordering a system from DS. i researched a lot for graphic card and would take DST4me's suggestion that not getting 5890 or 6990. So, what is my choice (Dell Ultrasharp 2411,1900x1200)? 6970 cf
570 sli
580
580 sli
or 6950 cf, since 6950 can be unlocked to 6970
also i may change to 30' dell in future

depending on the games you play and at that resolution a single 570 would probaly be fine. If your destined to get SLI because you want it or in your case you would possibly go with a 30" monitor in the future gtx 570's would be the sweet spot. Although people have said once your at higher resolutions(ones with ur 30" panel) crossfire shows some gain.
To get a better feel of what kind of FPS youll get with those set ups here are some articles you should glance through. 570 SLI review GTX 580 SLI review Maybe someone else can chime in with some crossfire articles, none of the sites i frequent had crossfire reviews |

If you gonna upgrade monitor within the next year or so to the 30" then go with 6970 cf.
for 1900 x 1200 all you need is sli 570, for 90% of the games out there. |
