as Title Reads: is GTX 1070 worth upgrading to RTX 2060S super? Im always paranoid about components failing and always looking for the next upgrade...Stats on paper say yes

Interestingly, video cards just don't fail all that often. They really seem to be built for the long haul.

The switch to an RTX 2060 SUPER will enhance performance quite a bit as you have found. Definitely not a sideways move. If you're not unhappy, however, you might wish to wait just a bit. The next generation of Nvidia cards is due out the first half of the new year, and that might provide some really interesting options. I'm looking for more power at the same price points, and almost certainly stronger ray tracing performance.
