Hey everyone. Just a quick question, what are the factory settings on a GTX 280? I would really like 2 sets of numbers one that nvidia says they are at and one of an owner. Sometimes what they say and what you get are a little different. I know y dont I just look it up? Im not sure what to look for. I am new to the whole OC thing. Thanks in advance

One more question, What would a typical OC be on that card where it would be completely stable. Im not going to do it but need to know. Im having problems with my SLI see (crysis crashing thread). It looks like I got a bad GPU. I paid to have them OCed with DS which I really did not need. It works fine with SLI off plus I allready did the flow chart problem solve and it says the same thing.

Thats strange, my GPUs are at factory settings and I paid to have them OCed from DS. My computer friend just got here and told me when he checked and showed me. Im glad really because I dont want them OCed now but I did pay for it. Oh well I will have to bring this up when I call them Monday Im sure it was just an oversite or something am I missing something?

they may have raised your PCI slot speed. make sure you check to see what it is in the bios. should be 100.

Check it with GPU-Z, most likely evga precision is not starting up with windows.  And yes, overclocking the PCIe bus is still considered overclocking of the video cards, it is just more of a risk to your mobo and gfx cards.

Ya I doubt DS would OC the PCI over the card that I would be able to adjust easily. I think it was just overlooked because it got damaged at first with a big dent and I think they were focusing on that. But I am glad they didnt OC them because I changed my mind on that anyways so its no big deal either way.
