Ok I am trying to squeeze the air flow a little more.
Here are screen shots of my case's HEMI: http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/perrigoa/0418091414a.jpg ![]() http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/perrigoa/0418091414b.jpg ![]() http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u110/perrigoa/0418091416.jpg ![]() My question is: How can I improve upon the air flow? I have even thought of switching to liquid cooling but that is a waste of the hemi that is my cpu cooler. By the way, my system specs: CASE CHASSIS: HAF 932 (Stock) MAINBOARD: XFX Nvidia 790i Ultra CPU: Intel Q9450 2.66~2.7 GHZ GRAPHICS CARDS: TRI-SLI EVGA GTX 285 HARD DRIVES: (RAID 0 - 64 GB) Intel X25-E 32GB, (RAID 0 - 64 GB) MTRON 32 GB MOBI 3500 *CPU COOLER: Thermalright IFX-14 with backside/underside CPU heatsink **Plenty of Scythe 120 fans on the heatsink...3 of them!!! |

you gonna have more noise but change your exhaust fan with a more powerful fan and change your side 230mm fan with 4 x 120mm fans that have a high cfm. high cfm = high airflow, higher airflow = more noise.
what do you need more airflow? whats getting hot? Edited by DST4ME - 19 Apr 2009 at 3:18pm |

Actually nothings really getting hot with the 3 stock 230 mm fans at 1700 RPM and 110 CFM, my CPU is at 30-35 C idle, MainBoard is at 36 C, GPUs all 3 are at 50-55 C idle. I don't like the temps my SPP and MCP are running 50-60 C but that should be expected at stock speeds.
I would like to get my CPU cooler and I have been thinking of getting a thermoelectric CPU cooler. The same DSO offers. I just haven't researched any pricing or configuration issues with my case or board. The reason for this is to increase performance and life-expectancy of the system. I don't overclock. I just would like my system to be cool, like grease lightening. |

well your temps are fine, but idle temps don't matter load temps do, but your temps look fine, changing your cooling will not make a big difference if your load temps are around 60c or 70c.
I think you are going to waste your money if you change anything you got, cause those temps are not going to change much at all. |
