Can I get a haf 932 with blue LED instead of red.  I have called DS several times over the past few days and each time no one in sales was available.  I left my number to get a call back also several times and never received a call back.  I hope this isn't a sign of what to expect from DS.  I already had a bad experience with cyberpower and I am ready to order my new computer.  I was willing to give DS a shot and have been very pleased with the help from the forums.

That's weird...

We can replace the front LED fan with a blue LED if you select our LED fan upgrade option, however, the fan will be a 120mm not the massive one they use the HAF 932.
 
I can assure you that we do our best to take care of all of our customers and we strive daily to look for ways to improve the product and support for our valued customers. There's a reason why our customers love us.
 
You can also email Sarah our Lead Sales person ([email protected]) or try pinging her at her extension by calling: 1-866-817-8676 EXT 115.
 
On a different note, could you do me a favor and email Management ([email protected]) with your contact information (name, phone number, email) because I would like to see if our phone staff was taking the message and routing it to the right person internally.

Coolermaster makes a blue one. DK if DS has them in stock or not, tho. If not, they will get one for you.
 
Okay, looks like you would have to order the part yourself from Coolermaster and have it sent to DS to install. At least they used to do that sort of thing. Course you could always just order the fan & install it yourself. Talk to Sarah, she knows everything.

Have you tried contacting them via email? Sometimes they can get really slammed on the phones and the email method lets them get back to you as soon as they are able without having to play phone tag.

And don't worry you are definitely in the right place, it's almost impossible to actually have a bad experience with DS, they always go out of their way to work with customers and fix any issues that might come up. It is definitely one of their shining points and I don't know of any other custom computer building company that comes even close to matching them in that regard, or even almost any companies period for that matter.

Sarah just called and she said the blue led haf 932 was not available even for special order but they could cut the Led wire to the fan and use internal case lighting.  Thanks for the input everyone.

then ask them to get you a blue haf case like this

also the blue led fan can be bought here

just buy them and send it to DS to change.

It will come out more expensive since we have to special order it. I recommend that the customer purchase and mail us the blue LED fan.

By the way it is really easy to paint your grills to make them match SCIFI, you just have to pull the rubber mat off the top and unscrew the three screws pull it offf and then unscrew all the screws holding the front on. Then just pop all the grills off. takes like two or three days to paint. Just use a outdoor blue paint and then spray over with a gloss blue and your good.

One last question on cases. How much of a difference in performance and air flow would there be going w/ the storm sniper.  Is this the storm sniper or storm sniper black edition.  If it is the regular one how many fans stock, is there a side fan and are they blue LED.  How many fans stock w the Haf 932.

well, um, sorta reluctant to say this, but every time I've left a message via voice I've never honestly received a call back from tech. once from sales, but that's it. the best way I'd suggest is to send them a message, so they can contact you on their times that support is actually available, heh, its pretty much 50 guys trying to answer 200 callers at the same time Smile

I agree with the fact they don't really call people back when they say they will or you leave a message :(
Maybe you guys could set up your phone system to leave you in a queue instead of hanging up on you and making you leave a message? If I have a problem with my computer, I'd rather wait on hold even it's for 30 minutes than leave a message that won't get returned ><

I don't know, I never had a problem getting them on the phone. I had to talk to them fairly often and I always made sure to call during their operating hours. Maybe I just got lucky but I was always able to get someone on the phone. Although I would normally call right when they opened like 9 their time and 11 my time.

the sinper has 3 x 200mm fans, the haf 932 has 3 x 230mm fans, so there is a little bit better flow with 932, but nothing that will make a huge difference from sniper, they are both great cases.

the haf 932 red has one led fan on the front that is red.

the sniper had one led fan on the front that is blue, however I'm not 100% sure about his one.

The Sniper has two versions. The regular case and the black edition case(the black edition is all black inside and out). Both have front and top 200mm blue led fans, while the black edition has an additional 200mm blue led side fan.

I think, but I'm not 100% positive, that the Sniper case that DS offers is the Black Edition. If anyone could confirm this, I'd appreciate it, since I'm in the market for the same case and if it's the regular case without the 200mm blue led side fan then I'll probably get internal blue lighting added to the case, otherwise I would leave it as is, since 3 big led fans should produce enough lighting on their own. Another possibility would be to have DS add a couple 120mm led side fans

I believe Cretea said his Sniper came with the 200mm blue led side fan. Is the inside of your case completely black Cretea?

not sure about that, you better email them for that info, tho you can always add a side fan to the regular one, it may not have the fan but it has the holes and everything for it I believe.

I'm really sorry you feel that way. I completely disagree because we do our best to call all of our customers back. We check our message board load, voicemails, etc.. multiple times a day. If you could help me out and find the root of the problem, please email Management ([email protected]) with your contact information and we'll do a search on our voicemails and message board to see if we've been getting any calls, voicemails, emails from you and if they were being returned and what happened with them.
 
Reason why I am asking is because this is something we don't want our customers to experience and if anyone is having this issue we want to get to the bottom of it.
 
On a different note, feel free to email our Lead Sales Manager Sarah ([email protected]) if it's easier for you.

Yep. Black interior, 200mm side fan in blue LEDs. Always a good idea to check and double check if in doubt. But this is Digital Storm we're talkin about. Not the kind of folks to gimp a case just to suck you into getting something cheap, IMO.
