    Posted: 21 Nov 2009 at 12:04pm
I've been thinking alot lately if I want to go through the trouble of manually replacing the fan on the 932 and putting in the smaller fan that was supposed to be put in so I wouldn't have to think this much about it Big%20smile

A thought occurred to me though, is there any spot on the current front fan that I can disconnect, break off or sauder off or whatever that would disable the LCD light but leave the fan running. I realize my problem isn't the fan, it's the fact it's red. I can get another lcd light if needed and those are easier to put in than replacing this fan with a smaller one that I have no mount for.

Any suggestions?

what color? you can get the 230mm blue one from cm, so you don't have to replace it with a smaller one, or you can just replace it with the one that is on the side panel which is a 230mm fan with no led.

The front fan is quite easy to replace. and as DST4ME has pointed out. you can just get a replacement fan from Coolermaster.

This is why I wish we had a for sale or trade section on here. although I do know that it would take a bit of resources to moderate it

It could prove be useful in times like these. I'm sure we all have spare stuff sitting around from past upgrades that we would like to sell or trade. instead of collecting dust.

I heard it mentioned on here before but never heard anything else about it.

Ok, found the blue replacement fan on CM's website for 20 bucks. I guess I'll buy it next paycheck and go from there. Lil iffy right now. Hopefully I won't break much :P

If you wanted you could put in two 120mm (pretty sure).  I think that would open up the color green to you as well.

rated at 19 dBA for the 230mm front fan why would you want 2 smaller fans that are nosier . the fan that has a LED on/ off switch is the 200mm fan found in the 922 Haf.  I believe. the 230 mm fan does not have that option.

If you want a different color you could always do this

I was thinking of the 922 you are correct.
With 2 smaller fans it would make the more noise but would be subjective if you cared or not.
Sorry about mistake.

No prob.

If the other person is interested. I would be willing to do a trade for my extra non LED for his Red LED. strait across trade

Opps, just seen he wanted the blue Never mind
