To me, it seems the 942 is better due to the black paint, fan filters, USB3 ports, etc. Am I missing something that should compel me to reconsider the 932 instead?

The 932 is cheaper and has better air flow (bigger fans).

The HAF 942 is just if you need the extra room for super oversized motherboards.

not really, pretty much the same case with some gimmicks for a higher price, hard to go wrong either way, choose the one you think looks cooler

USB 3 Headers are about the only thing I would consider the 942 has over the 932... other than that... if your that worried about the paint job get it customized Evil

the difference between the two is that one is a 7 expansion slot and one is a 9 expansion slot.

932 = 7 expansion slot

942 = 9 expansion slot

that means 942 can handle bigger mobo, like the 4x sli, it also means that its a little longer. but it has 200mm fans vs 230mm fans of 932, as mentioned the 942 also has USB 3.0 on front I/O panel.

lol its not that much bigger, the 942 is just a tad longer. in width and hight its smaller. they both take eatx mobos but with 9 expansion slots, you can fit a 4x classified easier in the 942 then the 932.

I didn't mean to come across as if its much bigger we are talking about an inch or less longer, thats it.

think of the 942 as a 932 with 9 expansion slots and usb 3.0 front panel, and 2 smaller fans.
